Ball and Waite removals was established as a moving company in 1890, being a family run business for over 125 years, moving from Conisbrough to Wellgate Rotherham, following the second World War, It was then branded “Ball and Waite Furniture services” utilising the professional skills of furniture building and restoration the family strived hard to build an enviable reputation throughout Rotherham, Doncaster and Barnsley, until Mr and Mrs Peet retired in 1989, selling the business to another well-known family run furniture moving company “Housleys of Sheffield” the businesses combined with “Catlins of Sheffield” to provide over 300 years of removals experience, In 2012 Nigel Shaw of Specialised Movers brought all the family run business into the Specialised Movers group, and now the Specialised Movers Group is one of the largest independent moving company in Yorkshire, but still offers a friendly family service
